Water in My Basement Washington DC

When water enters your basement after heavy rains, snow melt or flooding, it can make for an extremely frustrating experience. Many properties in Washington, DC are at risk of water intrusion. At least one-third of Washington, DC has a dual sanitary and storm water sewer system to capture surface overflow, but during periods of heavy downpours, the system can quickly become overwhelmed causing excess water to pool up in neighborhoods and business districts.

Those within close proximity of the Tidal Basin, the National Mall and East Potomac Park, are especially vulnerable to over bank flooding. Your wet basement problem can lead to structural damage. Basement waterproofing is the recommended solution for keeping water from infiltrating the lower levels of your home. READ MORE HERE...

JES Foundation Repair Sponsors FEED Richmond Campaign to Knock Out Hunger in Central Virginia

FEED Richmond is an annual initiative led by Summit Media’s K95, 103.7 Play, Classic Rock 96.5, Easy 100.9 and Hot 106.1 to collect food and monetary donations for FeedMore’s Central Virginia Food Bank.

JES Foundation Repair is proud to sponsor this year’s campaign and invite you to join our efforts to provide meals for children and families in the Richmond area as the holiday season approaches. Research shows hungry children are unable to concentrate in school, display more behavioral problems and find it challenging to participate in after school activities. We understand access to quality food is the foundation of a healthy, active life. Families and seniors facing tough economic circumstances are not sure where their next meal is coming from.

JES Foundation Repair partners with FEED Richmond for annual food drive.

In our industry, we believe everyone should have a solid foundation. And for some, that starts with something as fundamental as access to nutritious meals. Hungry shouldn’t mean hopeless. Our contributions can prevent another child from going to sleep dreaming of food—one of our most basic human needs.

We do good work in the communities where we operate and beyond. Pledging our support to FEED Richmond is one demonstration of our commitment to giving back.

No one should go hungry this holiday season. Put your dollars to good use by donating money or nonperishable food items to FEED Richmond online or at one of their designated drop-off locations.

Virginia Flag Lady, Stella Waltz, Delivers a Veterans Day History Lesson

Stella Waltz, co-owner of JES Foundation Repair headquartered in Virginia Beach, knows how to honor the American flag. Conversational, informational and inspirational, her presentations are filled with interesting and obscure facts about the history behind our nation’s most revered symbol of freedom.

The daughter of a World War II veteran, Stella learned the importance of handling the flag with respect at an early age. She has held the flag and those who fought for its sake, in great esteem since childhood. Growing up, Stella’s parents, who met a few years after the war ended, shared incredible stories about their experiences on everything from the home front to the war zone.

“Our armed forces defend our freedoms and ensure the flag continues to fly. When I see the flag, a powerful feeling surges through me. You don't have to walk in other people's shoes to appreciate and value what they have been through, and in this case—everything they have done for you and your family in the spirit of selflessness.”
                                                                                                           Stella Waltz

Stella’s passion for the American Flag is simply contagious. Her thoughtful delivery and factual accounts are suitable for audiences of all ages including civic groups, community associations, veterans, school-aged children and more.

She takes great pride in educating the public about proper flag retirement, as well as teaching flag history and etiquette. If you are interested in more information or would like to book Stella for an event, contact [email protected] or visit
