Take action for the health of your home!

I was recently diagnosed with a serious medical condition. The doctor, with a straight face and hurried demeanor, emphatically informed me that "the cure is in the treatment" and handed me a prescription. Without going into great detail, it was my conclusion that the symptoms I was experiencing (in addition to the diagnosis byway of biopsy), clearly indicated to me that I had to do something or live with this condition for the rest of my life. At this stage, taking four pills a day and NOT changing my choices didn't seem like the proper action. Medical issues can be very complicated, but when you have a problem, medical or otherwise, not doing anything isn't going to correct it. It takes real action to make things better. Relying on what I like to call "passive action" doesn't really help matters. Passive actions are things like, just looking at the problem repeatedly, overly talking to others about it and worse yet, accepting that it's normal for things to be that way. Never being one to just accept negative things as normal, I set out to understand my condition and to take action against it with regular exercise, a better diet, stress management and proper rest.

Don't wait to fix it.
Like medical issues, problems with your home's foundation can be daunting and difficult to understand. The foundation for your home is what your health is to you. It's the very basis of nearly everything. Without it, it can seem as if nothing else is quite as good as it should be. A strong and secure foundation are how things are supposed to be and should never be ignored or postponed. Like I felt the day of my diagnosis, I am sure that having cracked bricks, uneven floors, stuck windows and feeling like the house is sinking can be hard to accept, and harder still to fix. It isn't. Acting now can save you money and restore that good feeling in knowing that your home is healthy. Nearly every foundation repair customer wishes the same thing after extensive repairs are needed. They wish they had taken action sooner. If your home has been inspected and symptoms are apparent that you have a foundation issue, you owe it to yourself to get it fixed. JES can help. Call today and let us take action to get your home on level and stable footing.

While I have a ways to go before my follow up to monitor this issue, I am confident that the action I am taking now will have a positive impact. But in truth, whatever the outcome, acting and working to correct things on an ongoing basis is the most important action you can take.

Stay well and see you next time!
